I haven't been active on Medium and Twitter for a while. There's been a lot going on in the backend and I'm glad to have finally finished it all. It was a lot of work. Exciting, but also exhausting.
My goal of making money online started about three years ago. I came across trading and investing, but I wasn't sure how to go about it. So I kept searching all over the internet. I tried dropshipping, writing articles on Medium and much more, without it ever leading to much profit. I was devastated. As an introvert, making money online seemed like the most attractive option, I just couldn't give up.
Between school and university, I did an apprenticeship. It was great at first, but shortly afterwards it was boring. Luckily, I learnt to create and edit content on my laptop, which I really appreciate.
I continued to explore the internet and came across the idea of building a personal brand on Twitter. I stuck with it for a few weeks, but again, I failed. Most creatures make it, but not me. So I knew I had to change my path again.
Everyone tells you to collect email addresses, and they're right. One day your social media account might just collapse. If you collect emails, at least you have their addresses to stay in touch with. This allows you to continually send them offers and prospects.
I started writing newsletters and they were going exceptionally well. My opt-in rate was over 43+% for weeks. But from one day to the next, my readers started unsubscribing. My newsletters became a failure. I shifted gears and focused on educational emails. An educational email course allows you to build a deeper connection with your prospects.
So I came up with the idea of starting a whole project. And I stuck with it and went all in. I went underground for months and created a whole email marketing course on "How to create a personal email education course". I'm very happy with the results so far. But I'm certainly not done yet and there's still a lot to optimise. Especially my outreach, networking etc. But the course is now available and I've created a whole website for it. Years ago I never thought I'd end up in email marketing. The last few months I've honed in on my strengths and have been able to turn them into profit. Writing was always one of my skills at school, so I knew I had an unfair advantage and could convey emotion to my readers with words.
My mum always told me that I was able to convey feelings and thoughts with simpler words than her. I could describe them with a single word. I understood people well. Writing alone is a beautiful skill, but hard to market. Having no knowledge of business and marketing, it was exciting to learn more about it and combine the two. I am currently learning every day, especially in the areas of literature, marketing and sales.
It's been a wild but fulfilling ride. In addition to building a brand or business, I've started exercising more consistently again and I've fallen in love with the benefits. My advice to you: If you're stuck and don't know how to get out of your rut, go to the gym. And then start an email marketing business. Or any brand and create your own personal educational email course where you can share your expertise in more detail and more easily build trust with your potential customers.
There are a lot of fake people out there promising results without backing them up. That's not what I signed up for. To me, all that matters is results and only results. Actions speak louder than words, so realise your dream, build your financial and local freedom and never look back. Do it for yourself because you owe it to yourself.
No matter where you come from, how old you are, what ethnicity you are, what you look like, what your values are — everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and make them come true. Nothing is more fulfilling than living a life of abundance and peace. I haven't reached my financial goals yet, but I know I will soon. Why am I so sure of that? Because I believe in myself and work towards my goals every day. I don't give up and I’m reliable. I stand by my word and love to inspire those around me. Take care and I'll see you in my next article!
