It's amazing how many people subscribe to this newsletter. I am so grateful for every one of you!
Over the past week, I have been busy rearranging my previous system. I have decided to publish the newsletter on the weekends because it suits me better. During the week I am always busy. So why not write when life slows down a little?
As for me personally, I have been trying out different content strategies to see what interests you the most. From psychology to productivity to business.
Now to the actual topic of the week: Shifting your mindset.
Shifting your mindset means turning towards the positive. By changing your current self to the ideal self, you become a better version of yourself.
Have you ever heard of the self-concept? You probably have.
Everyone has an idea of their self: "I am athletic. I am terrible at cooking. I love maths."
Change your belief system by changing your ideal self: "Who would I like to be? Who should others associate me with?" Maybe you want to learn to cook better. Partly because your dream is to make better meals for yourself, and your spout expects you to cook every other day.
Now it is your mission to turn that ideal self – the ideal version of yourself and what others think you should be – into a reality.
You can take cooking classes or teach yourself by using your grandma's recipes.
Another example could be: You already love athletics and would like to get into calisthenics.
You see the ideal version of yourself doing a handstand or finally managing a backflip. How great would that be!
The message is: Change your fixed mindset with your current beliefs into a growth mindset with limitless potential.
It teaches you to focus on the solution to a problem instead of focusing on the problem.
Look for the good in every situation, seek the valuable lesson in every setback, and look for the solution to every problem. Think and talk continually about your goals. – Brian Tracy
This gave me the idea to share my weekly goals and wins with you. Not to brag, but to empower you too. The challenges I have overcome and the lessons I have learned from them.
I published my first articles on Medium. Some of them went very well, others – well – not. I now know that readers prefer actionable advice focused on mindset growth and productivity – at least so far.
We have been growing slowly on all platforms, but we are only getting started. It is a good start!
I was confident enough to set up meetings and calls. Just because I saw I was competent enough. This week, I hacked it and made my first money online.
Every day I am learning more about myself and the world. For instance, I love getting my work done early in the morning and going to the gym or doing whatever later. I was aware of the benefits, but it wasn't until I experienced it that I knew it was best for me.
It’s not that I’m so smart. It’s just that I stay with problems longer. – Albert Einstein
